| The Psychotherapy used to be classified into supportive psychotherapy and intensive psychotherapy. But in my practice I felt the need for another classification of psychotherapy, a kind that did not fit into either of the classifications above. The new classification called be called brief dynamic psychotherapy, which is different from that of Davanloo or Sifneos, and this paper deals with the necessity for this classification of psychotherapy. I believe that we could do practice more refined psychotherapy and have a clearer concept of psychotherapy if we add brief dynamic psychotherapy, as a psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy, to supportive psychotherapy and intensive psychotherapy. |
