| For the purposes of discussion we can designate the middle phase of psychoanalytic psychotherapy as ranging from the first interpretations to the very end of therapy. We do the period which the resistance and transference appears and the working-through is processed middle phase of the psychoanalytic psycho therapy as well. The main tasks of this phase are recognition, overcoming resistance and working-through by repeated interpretation. In practice, the chief technical tools for the tasks are the therapists’ interpretations. The author reviewed the origin of resistance and techniques for interpretation of resistance. The author also reviewed transference, insight and working-through in terms of concepts and practical technique. |
